« Timeless Universe" defies time with its next Collective of artists, scheduled for the fall of 2017.
As part of its renovations (2016-2017), the prestigious hotel Le Reine Élizabeth commissioned U.V.A inc. (Formerly mandated for the project "Château Allant Vert I and II" at Château Frontenac, Québec City in 2010 and 2012), to recover silverware and other prestigious heritage materials.
These recyclable artifacts made of glass, marble, metal and other, come from different parts of the hotel, including the Beaver Club.
Queen E., previously hosted such famous personalities as Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth II, Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, the Beatles, John Lennon and Yoko Ono during their Bed-in, to name but a few, intends to complete his renovations in June 2017, in time for the celebrations of the 375th of Montreal and the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation.
The mandate of UVA is to give a new life to this artifacts by means of professional artists and to make works of art inspired by the timeless imprint it conceals, contributing indirectly to the well-being of the planet.
The Collectif brings together some 40 notable artists, mostly international and emerging for some, working in various artistic spheres.
